Ministry Roots

In 1972, Victory Life Ministries was established in San Antonio, Texas by Freddie Garcia, a former drug addict who felt he could use his personal experiences to help people dealing with substance abuse. Garcia’s goal was to provide recovery homes and a structured six month program based on Christian principles.

His vision and his efforts have changed the lives of countless individuals and families, and today, over 40 Victory Life Homes operate throughout Texas and the southwest.

Victory Life Ministries in Dallas, Texas was established in 2002. As Director, Pastor Anthony Anderson has been leading the South Dallas home since its inception. Prior to entering the Victory Life Ministry in 1999, Pastor Anderson led a life of drugs and crime, and he was incarcerated for 10 years. He understands the discipline needed for recovery, and today, he is directing services that impact the lives of 145 men who enter the Drug and Alcohol Recovery program each year at Victory Life.
