Chris Thurman
I am married with two wonderful kids. I lost my relationship with my kids, wife and family. I also lost my job because of my drug addiction. Before long, I was homeless, walking the streets of downtown Dallas, sleeping under a bridge, and eating out of many trash cans. A man named "Pizza Tony" gave me a tract about the Victory Home.
My life goal now is to be the father to my kids that I should have been years ago. I also desire to further my education, learn a trade, and wait on the Lord to find me a soul mate. Most of all, I want to keep Jesus first. Because without Him, I would not be where I am today. His grace and mercy has kept me, His blood set me free, and His word promises that I am a new creation. My favorite memory verse in the bible is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Hunter Price, Jr.
For over 20 years of my life, I was bound by crack - living the life of a drug addict with no hope and without a future. I found myself living on the streets, eating out of dumpsters, and hustling just to get a hit. My marriage went down the drain and I shattered the hearts of my children.
After watching myself on this continuous merry-go-round, I remembered a place where the presence of God changed lives. I came to the Victory Home but didn't allow God to finish what He had started in me. Like a dog returns to his own vomit, I returned to my old life style. But one day I came back to where God had originally planted me; in his school of brokenness.
Now my hope is in Jesus Christ. My future is definitely built on faith, hope and love. I believe God truly has a plan and purpose for my life. Not knowing exactly what that purpose is makes it an issue of trust which gives me much faith in God. My relationship with my children is being restored daily as well as my relationship with my mother. I believe God will eventually bring that special someone in my life for me to marry, but right now God has a character building process to perform in my life.
